The «Saddleback» Church, USA

Purpose Driven is a part of the Mission of Saddleback Church, based in Lake Forest, CA. Our task is to equip pastors all over the world to plant and renew churches to become balanced, grow healthily, and reproduce. We do this by promoting and utilizing Rick Warren's biblical teaching on the five purposes of the church and other supporting concepts You may be familiar with the Purpose Driven Church (PDC) conferences that take place here on campus. Rick Warren has taught the PD principles to more than 108,000 pastors on the campus of Saddleback Church alone. Satellite-based simulcast events increase that number to more than 160,000 pastors. Add international events - Australia, South Korea, Taiwan, China, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Amsterdam - and the number rises to over 180,000! In addition to offering the PDC conferences, Purpose Driven is also helping churches become Purpose Driven through conferences and seminars that specifically address youth ministry, children's ministry, recovery ministries, worship, and making the transition to PD structure and principles. We're also facilitating the development of the Purpose Driven Community, both on the web and in the field in several countries. Finally, we are working on publishing and distributing several PD tools in multiple languages. This includes the International PDC Workshop on DVD (currently in 18 languages), study guides, and CLASS materials, to name a few.
